Honda added a second label in sports?


Honda CR-Z Concept of the Tokyo Motor Show, as we wrote several times, is the starter for a first sports label of the Japanese manufacturer. But there’s more: This is confirmed by the words of the managing director Takanobu Ito, who was interviewed by Automotive News, Honda is stated as “concrete thinking about the future of another series of ecological sports.”

Honda P-NUT concept

Honda has announced that the Honda P-NUT concept, or Honda Personal-Neo Urban Transport, will debut at the Los Angeles Auto Show on December 2.

The Honda P-NUT concept was developed at the company’s Advanced Design Studio in LA to be ultra-compact and fit for urban life. The company did not release any details regarding the engine of the Honda P-NUT concept, nor if it will be conventional, hybrid or electric. Judging from the name of the design study, the Honda P-NUT concept may be a single-seater

Company Honda has not refused idea to make on the automobile market the sports car under own mark. And, as the chief executive of company Takanobu Ito has declared, it will be “ecologically pure car with excellent dynamic characteristics”.

Earlier the company declared the beginning of works on the supercar which could become the ideological successor of model NSX: it was planned, that this model will be with engine V10. However because of crisis the further development of the project has been “frozen”.

Meanwhile, competitor Honda — company Toyota — on a motor show in Tokyo has presented own supercar with motor V10. Lexus LFA it is equipped by the 560-strong atmospheric engine and it can be dispersed from 0 to 100 km/h for 3,7 sec. Toyota plans to make only such 500 similar cars at the price from $375,000US for a copy.

Honda will make limited series Civic Type R Mugen – Honda News

All cars will be collected manually in the Great Britain and will differ not only the improved characteristics, but also rather high price - 64,000 dollars for each of 20 cars.

Honda Motor authorises for manufacture Civic Type R Mugen at the enterprise in the Great Britain. In total 20 cars will be collected only. According to vice-president Mugen Euro Hiroki Toyoda, the company counts on the success similar to volume that the similar promo-action in Japan when 300 cars Civic Type RR in a body a sedan have been sold within first six minutes has received.

Each of 20 cars will be painted in firm colour of sports cars Honda - Championship White. Also there will be the unique aerodynamic weather-cloth developed specially for a given series. Cost Civic Type-R Mugen will make by approximate calculations about 39,599 pounds sterling or $64,000US or 42,900 euro.
